- "Recommend parking out here before passing through the city gate as it'd be extremely hilly and narrow to drive inside. The playground is tiny. Only the first two photos below are of the park. It's hard to post photos for other sites in the town because there aren't many sites marked in Google Maps. There is a bathroom just after you enter the gate but it's 0.50 euros. The town's 4,000+ buildings were all painted blue to celebrate the live action 2011 Smurf movie (not actually filmed here though). Originally, the agreement was to paint it back to white afterwards, but the city decided to keep it blue. It's fun to walk around and see Smurf paintings and scenes on the walls and Smurf statues situated in different places. I will warn you that the town is very touristic now, so the restaurants are all overpriced and not great. Would recommend eating in Ronda (very scenic and has some good local restaurants) or Igualeja (small town) instead. Probably 30 mins is enough for this town, maybe slightly more if you're traveling with small kids. Visited on a weekday morning in mid-January, so it was pretty empty."
